bookings

I typically open my books on the 2nd or 3rd week of the month for the following month, and keep my books open until spots are full.

To book a tattoo with me, first submit a booking request below and answer a few questions about your idea. After you submit your request I will get back to you via email to let you know if I have accepted your request. It may take me a few days to respond to your initial booking request, but I try to get back to everyone within 4 days of their request submission.

Once your request has been accepted, I will reach out via email to give you information on how to submit a deposit to claim your spot. After I have received your deposit I will send you another email with a link to my calendar, where you can select a date and time that works for you.

Submitting a booking request is not equivalent to booking an appointment and does not guarantee you a spot in my books. The booking request is an initial step for you to share your idea with me so that I can see if I would be a good match for your tattoo.

If you have questions about a tattoo idea, please look over the booking form to see if your question may be covered in the form (ex. tattoo cost, ideas for custom tattoos, flash availability). Filling out a form is the easiest way to get me all the information I need to answer your questions in the most efficient way! If you have a question that may not be covered in the booking form feel free to send me an email at paxhandpokes@gmail.com.

Tattoo appointments, including stenciling, prep, and breaks take a minimum of 2 hours, but often last for 4+ hours. Hand Poking can be a slow process, so please keep in mind that your appointment may take longer than expected if you are used to getting machine tattoos. Plan accordingly when booking. I am happy to give you my best time estimate before your appointment but I cannot say exactly how long an appointment will take. Make sure not to schedule any important events within 5+ hours of the start time of our tattoo appointment.

booking flash

A flash tattoo is a tattoo that is pre-designed and available to be tattooed as-is. These designs are my original artwork and are not customized to the individual client. Flash tattoos are a great way to get tattooed if you are looking to get a piece that authentically represents an artist’s original artwork and style.

You can choose a flash design from any of the flash sheets available here. I repeat flash designs until I decide to retire them.

Flash designs can be slightly customized through variations to fit specific placements.

booking a custom

A custom tattoo is a tattoo that I design based on the subject matter of your choosing. This is a more personalized way to create a tattoo design if you have a specific image or idea in mind. The process of designing a custom tattoo is collaborative and more involved than a flash tattoo, and can be a great option for anyone looking to have more input and specificity in the designing stage of their tattoo. I accept custom designs that I feel I can execute well in my style, and will always make edits and changes to a design as long as I feel it remains within the realm of my style and capabilities.

I will have a few design options ready for you on the day of your appointment, and I allot as much time as needed at the beginning of your appointment for reviewing and editing your design until you love it! I prefer not to send designs before your appointment for several reasons. Firstly, I often have several custom projects in the works at one time, plus flash tattoo appointments, and in order to maintain a work-life balance I am not always able to have designs ready for viewing in advance. I also find that, if given a design option early, clients like to get second opinions from friends or family about their design and this external input can sometimes influence clients to make changes to their design that did not come from them. This external input can move the design further from your original vision and what you yourself truly want your tattoo to look like.
